Abbott Elementary star Fifth Brunson she quickly shut down rumors that she was pregnant while ringing in the new year.
The speculation arose after the 36-year-old actress shared a photo via her Instagram story on Wednesday, December 31. In the photo, Brunson wore a festive headband over a beanie, which she paired with a chunky, oversized sweater. It angled a bit, causing a bit of crowding around her midsection.
“Not preggers,” Brunson insisted in a separate Instagram Story upload. “The sweater in (a) strange position. Not in 2026 my ass is coming.”
Brunson celebrated the new year with friends who followed her divorce from Kevin Jay Anik. Us Weekly confirmed in March 2025 that Brunson filed to end their three-year marriage.

According to court documents obtained by we at the time, Brunson listed their separation date as “TBD” and cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. He noted that the two “entered into a postnuptial agreement governing the disposition of their property” and called for each party to be responsible for their attorney’s fees.
