A Vancouver-based mining company says 10 of its workers have been abducted from a project site near Concordia, a city gripped by cartel civil war since 2024.
In a statement posted on his website, Vizsla Silver said, “Ten individuals were taken” and that “The case is currently under investigation and information is limited.”
A company statement said Mexican authorities had been notified and “crisis management and security response teams are actively engaged.”
Vizsla Silver says it has stopped some activity on the site.
