Mount Lewotobi Lokotobi-size has begun to blast – at a point shooting a gray cloud 18km (11mi) in the sky – while residents run away from their homes.
No reports of casualties have ever been on Monday morning, when the volcano on the island of Flores began to repeat ash and lava. Authorities put it at the highest alert level ever an early round of bursts three weeks ago.
At least 24 trips to and from neighboring Resort Island in Bali canceled on Monday, even if others continue next day.
The initial column of hot clouds raised at 11:05 (03:05 GMT) Monday is the highest volcano since November, said Geology agencies Muhammad Wafid.
“An explosion of size in size brings a higher potential for disaster, including its impact on aviation,” Wafid told the Associated Press.
Monday’s explosion, accompanied by a thunderous roar, led the authorities to enlarge the exclusive area of a 7km radius from Central Vent. They also warned the potential flooding of Lahar – a type of mud or waste flowing volcanic materials – when heavy rain occurs.
The twin’s volcano looked again at 19:30 on Monday, sent ashes to ash and lava to 21km in the air. It was burdened for the third time at 5:53 pm on Tuesday a reduction in strength.
Videos shared a night showing red lava from volcanic peaks as residents enter cars and buses to flee.
More than 4,000 people have been evacuated from place to date, according to local disaster management agency.
