Twelve Turkish soldiers were killed after being exposed to methane gas while searching a cave in Iraq, the Turkish ministry told national defense.
At least 19 employees were exposed to gas to find and clear operations on Sunday, and then carried to the hospital.
On Monday 12 soldiers died, the ministry said.
The troops are looking for a gun-killed soldier on May 2022. The ministry says in spite of efforts that have not been recovered.
