The decision brings an end to 400 years of service to the company’s letter. The 1,500 postboxes in Denmark begin to disappear from the beginning of June.
Ministers of Transported Thomas Danielsen wanted to reassure the Danes, saying that the letters can still be sent and acceptable throughout the country. A company said it was ready to bring delivery.
The post services across Europe ran down the decrease in letters of the letter. Deutshe posted in Germany last Thursday it is axing 8,000 jobs, in the so-called “social responsible manner”.

The letter numbers have fallen since the turn of the century from 1.4 billion to 110 million last year.
The decision affects older people. Although 95% of Danes uses digital post service, a reported 271,000 people depend on physical mail.

Postnord says about 1,500 of its workers will lose their jobs, from a 4,600 worker.
The company says to move its focus to parcel deliveries and which any postage stamps are purchased this year or by 2024 can be refunded for a limited period of 2026.
Chief Executive Kim Pedersen said the Danes is more likely to grow and the decrease in letters of the letter becomes as many as the year alone.
Postnord also works in Sweden. It is 40% of Danish owned and 60% owned by Sweden.
