The desert is already fatal in the Borderland of Arizona. People who go to the United States have brought heat, dehydration and fatigue. But over the years, another threat has been put in trouble on this path: armed vigilance groups that lead themselves to the border – often violent and out of law. He has long been reduced the work of humanitarian volunteers who are trying to save lives.
Now, a new artificial intelligence platform is actively encouraging more and more people to join their group. The recently launched Iceeride, the US, the UUS, offers a photo of the “suspicious activity” to the border, gives the cryptocurrency rewards to the users. It places citizens as a combination of front-line intelligence-to work for the implementation of the strangers, but without supervision.
The site opens on the map of the United States, the points with a red and green pin mark the image of the user submitted by the user. Visitors are invited to connect them to themselves. The “guidance of keeping the” guidance “gives information on how to legally capture the image in public without a document warrant. The “Breaking News” section share updates and new partnerships. The platform is the first to be the Front-the first generation of Cuban Americans, far-reaching figures and self-stylish “Ice Red Jar”, which describes themselves as “a fanatical defender of American values.”
I have been researching the boundaries from 1 Since. Arizona is a place that I often return. I have worked with NGOs and have come with search-and-win teams like the battalion search and rescue, under the leadership of the American former Marine James Holleman, on the mission to recover the remains of people who died under the effort of crossing. During that time, I have seen this region becoming a laboratory for high-tech implementation: AI towers of the Israeli company now scan the desert; Automatic license plate is tracked by readers to readers; And data feed in the -tate immigration implementation system developed by machine-learning algorithm-head-headed companies.
This is not unique to the United States. In my book, The Walls Hiss: Migration in the Age of Artificial Intelligence, I documented how the same technology is being deployed in Europe and the Middle East – from Spywear in Greek refugees to boundary agencies from the European Union, Frontax. These tools enhance maintenance and control. They do not bring responsibility or security.
The trend has gained momentum from the re -election of Donald Trump in 224. Investment in the surveillance has increased. Private companies have become prosperous. The ICE has expanded the powers of incorporating illegal raids, details and deportation. Military units have been deployed on the US-Mexico border. Now, Israrid added a new layer – through outsourcing outsourcing the masses.
The platform gives the platform crypto rewards to the users who upload and verify photographic “evidence” in eight categories of alleged criminal activity. The more contributions and locations were submitted, the higher the tokens. Surveillance was gamied. Suspicion becomes revenue flow.
It is especially dangerous in Arizon, where there is a long history of vigilance violence. The paramilitary-style groups have seized people who cross the border without legal authority, sometimes they have been forced back to Mexico. It is known that many people have died in such clashes. Israde does not check this behavior – it normalizes, provides digital tools and financial incentives for citizens to act like implementation.
Even more annoying is the cooperation of resistance infrastructure. Israde’s URL, www.icerid.usIs almost identical www.icaraids.usThe website of Papers Over Papers, a community -led venture that tracks the ice impression and protects the undersocured communities. There is no accident in equality. This is a conscientious move to confuse and reduce the resistance at the grassroots.
Isred is not an inconsistency. This is a clear reflection of a wide system – which migrates criminals, reverses skepticism, and extends implementation through private technology and public fear. Public officials are scared. Creates corporation tools. Citizens are reported to do this work.
Technology is never neutral. It reflects and enhances the existing energy structures. Israde does not offer security – this creates a decentralized surveillance mechanism in which ethnic suspicion is earned and life is reduced in data. It is not necessary to identify and resist this system only to protect people for the movement of people. This is essential for the existence of democracy.
