Outage outage outage has left millions without electricity


Millions of people think there is no electricity across Chile after a large outdoor outage.

According to the national service for disaster and answer control (senapred), a place passing through the country affected, including capital city, James.

Exact measure outage, starting earlier on Tuesday, not yet known but Senapred said regions of Arica and Parinacota in North Los Lagos south.

Reuters News Agency also reported that the world’s largest copper, Escondida, no power, cittering a source of close to this matter.

In a post of x, the Santiago Metro Operator said its service is temporarily suspended because of the continuous power outage, with stations evacuated and closed.

Footage from the city show passengers who evacuated stations by walking excitators-off excalators, while traffic signals are also displayed not working.

There are also long reasons for buses still running on city roads.

Maria Angelica Roman, 45, speaks at the AFP News Agency: “They allow us to leave work for cutting energy, but now we have no replace.”

Chile’s Interior Minister, Carolina Toha, also posted on X to say that a meeting would be called to discuss ongoing measures to restore services.

Senapred added that power companies all over the affected area have investigated error and attempt to restart services.
