Authorities in southern Indian State of Telangana are mainly time to save eight build workers trapped within a tunnel for more than 72 hours.
About 50 workers worked within 43km (26.7 miles) -Long tunnel, located on one side of the roof on Saturday morning.
Officers say 43 of them have made it exit safe but efforts to reach the remaining eight men are facing repeated disabilities due to obscene land, mud and slush within tunnel.
They also do not contact contact with those who are trapped by people, or give them oxygen and other important items.
Jupally Krishna Rao, a state minister in charge of the rescue effort, speaks PTI News Agency “The chances of their survival are far away.”
On Monday an expert team of “Rat-Hole Miners” – people who train the narrow navigation tunnel – came to clean the garbage and can go to workers. The same team has successfully saved 41 construction workers Trapped in a tunnel after a Landslide in the state of Himalayan in Uttarakhand at 2023.
Approximately 33km of excavation is very well done and is about to stay 10km, officials say on Tuesday.
Safers use a train to get to a point from where they need to climb a conveyor belt to remove debris. Reports say they are still pumping water to ensure oxygen supply within the tunnel. But the rough land of the region slowed them down.
As the efforts continue to save, families of trapped workers – most daily salaries of workers – eagerly waiting for their loved ones.
“I just hope this time my son returned safely. I don’t go to him again,” says Rampatap Shu, resident of the State of Jharkhand.
Some express the anger of the authorities to allow their family members to “come on the way of evil”.
“Why did they send people to work there when they know the risks involved in the project?” Jaspreet Kaur was asked, whose brother was one of those trapped.
A part of the under-construction srisailam remaining in the bank (SLBC) drainage drops around 13km from opening at 8:30 local time (03:00 GMT) on Saturday.
The accident occurred after a slab of concrete covering seepage on the roof falling and fell. At least one dozen workers were injured in chaos.
The tunnel is a part of the longest progress of the government’s irrigation project in Telangana. Located in an understatement area, it passes through the Nagarjuna Sagar-Srisailam Tiger Reserve is the largest in India.
Officers say construction work continues in just four days before accident, after a gap for almost three years.
Different relief teams, including personnel from the National Disaster Respress Force, Firefighters and Soldiers from Indian Army, are in place.
Officials told BBC Telugu that a team of firefighters was the first to go inside Sunday.
“We cover 11km on the train, 2km of conveyor belt and the remaining distance walking,” an officer, wanting to remain unknown, as. “But then we hit a road barrier.”
“There are long holes in mud and soft ground. The funny machine used by workers repeated, blocking all the way forward.”
The savar saves said they are coming back from that point they do not need the necessary tools and machines to clean the slush.
“We shouted and screamed, whispered and taught the torches, hoping for the answer but did not hear anything.”
The relatives of some trapped men are now desperately hoping for a miracle.
“When I left my wife, my wife holds me, crying and said, do not return my son back. Take my son back,” says my son, “said Rampatap Shu to workers.
“But what can I do? I’ll just sit here and pray to God to bring my son back to me. I don’t want anything.”
