Liftchitz familyFrom his home in East London, British-Israeli stimulated Lifschitz that his 84-year-old father returned from horror in Hamas captivity, after more than 500 days.
He was a peaceful man, a campaign, and a friend of Palestinian.
He was dragged from his house to Palestinian gunmen on 7 October and killed in captivity after being brought to Gaza alive.
The return of his body last Thursday destroyed news for Ms Liftchitz and his family, especially his mother watching who is also a hostage but returns alive And now no more unite with her husband 63 years.
After recognizing Oded’s body, the head of the National Institute of Forensic Medicine said he was killed in captivity over a year ago. The office of the Prime Minister of Israel said he was “killed in the captivity of Islamic organization Jihad terrorist.”
The BBC is with Shadowe, a filmmaker and academic, at his house when the ceasefire was announced last month.
He cried for joy and hope that he eventually saw an instance where he could know what had happened to his father. After more than one-year hostage, he did not know whether he was alive or dead or dead.

Oded Lifshitz is a journalist and veteran campaign campaign for peace running Palestinians in treatment hospitals. In his campaign for Palestinian rights he met the Yasser Arafat, then the President of the Palestine Liberation Organization Organization (PLO).
He helped to see Kibbutz Nir Oz, where he lived and took the hostage. It was a place where he was known for the cacti that he grown, the piano he played and the grandchildren he worshiped.
In a tribute, the Prime Minister of the UK Sir Keir Starmer said he was “deeply saddened” by the death of Oded, and sent his “heartfelt thanks” to his family.
“If I met the shark on Downing Street, he showed a wonderful strength before the hardest situations,” says Sir Keir.
“The news of his father’s death was a tragedy. I hope the peace he works in the region through his charity work and activate.”
About 1,200 people – Most civilians – 7 October’s attacks are killed and 251 others, including Oded and Located in Gaza as hostages. Israel launched many military campaigns against Hamas in response, killing at least 48,297 Palestinians – especially civilians – according to Hamas-Run Health Ministry.
As well as oded, three bodies were released in Hamas on Thursday – Hamas said Shiri Buras, 33, and his two little sons, Ariel and Kfir.
But on Thursday night, the military of Israel Hamas accused of being handed over to the body of an unknown person Instead of Ms. Bibas.
“During the process of recognition, determined that further received by the body is not that of Shiri Bibas, and no match found for any other hostage,” as Israeli forces.
Oded’s wife’s wife, released as Hamas’s hostage in 2023, who had been met-Hamas leader Yahya under Gaza – and told him to be ashamed of himself.

On Wednesday, as he received a peace award for his campaigning for hostages, he said: “The Palestinians are very good.”
Her family says they can now mourn for a husband, father, grandfather and grandfather, but after “503 suffering days of uncertainty”.
