Swiss skier Franjo von Almen won the first gold medal of the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics with a quick victory in the men’s Olympic downhill on Saturday. The Swiss runner was closely followed by the Italians Giovanni Franzoni and Dominique Paris.
