country singer Thomas Rhettthe sister-in-law of Macy Page has been diagnosed with stage III breast cancer.
“2026 is off to a great start, and I want to start by saying God is so GOOD,” Page, 33, wrote via Instagram on Thursday, February 5. “He is kind. He is kind. He is kind. He is FAITHFUL. He is loving. He is a healer. We learned in January that I have stage 3 breast cancerand on Tuesday I start chemo.”
Macy, who is married to Tyler Pageis the sister of Lauren Akins. (Akins, 36, she is married to Rhett35, since 2012.)
“It was definitely a shock and rocked our world a little bit, but let me tell you one thing: God has a plan, and this is HIS story. My word, guys, it’s been so obvious from the beginning,” Macy continued Thursday. “It’s really been down to the nitty-gritty. From seeing @bridget’s profile and deciding to do a random self-check, to getting the news that it’s in my lymph nodes, but nowhere else. 🙌🏻to the people he’s connected me to (breast cancer survivors, doctors, family friends), to crucial doctor appointments that open up unexpectedly, to the writing he’s randomly opened me up to—he’s getting me through this and fighting for me!
Macy also praised her “family, friends (and) friends of friends” for sharing their support and offering prayers.
“My #1 prayer through all of this is for the Lord to bring as many people to Jesus as He can because the reality is we live in a broken world,” Macy, a mother of two, wrote in her upload. “There is pain and suffering all around us, but thank God that’s not where it has to end. That’s not what we need to fix our eyes on: let’s fix our eyes on Jesus, who came to earth perfect and without fault, to die for our sins so that we can have eternal LIFE with Him.”
She added, “I am honored to be fighting this disease with God by my side (and all my people) and I am excited and so ready to OVERCOME this thing in Jesus name! I love you all and my ladies check your girls out.”
As Macy prepares to begin treatment, she’s received support from several of her influential peers.
“Wow! Those words! Fighting words 👏👏,” Sadie Robertson replied in the comments section. “The sword of the Spirit! The full armor of God! PRAYING for you, friend, and believing with you!”
Tyler Hubbardthe wife of Hayley Hubbardshe added: “You are so incredibly strong, especially with Jesus by your side! So proud of you and we are here for you!”
Kristen Brust too sent him good wishes for a quick recovery.
“Oh, my girl, wrapping yourself in prayer is the easiest thing I know how to do,” Brust commented. “You are amazing. Chosen. Light. I love you and I am here praying for you every step of the way.”
