“This has been my favorite ‘football’ year… not only because he had a great year, but because this team/organization/families were different in the best way,” Kelly wrote.
He continued: “So sad that it ended the way it did, but damn it was the most fun I’ve ever had for a season…surrounded by amazing women off the field, even though I was having the time of my career with the men on this field and on the sidelines this year.”
Matthew and Kelly began dating in the 2000s after meeting during their time together at the University of Georgia. Matthew was playing football for college while Kelly was a cheerleader at the time.
They announced their engagement in March 2014 before tying the knot in April the following year.
