O’Hara concluded, “So many people were going through it. So it turned out (it was) just timing… You can’t predict these things. It was the scripts, the idea of working with Eugene and Daniel, and then having such a lovely experience with all of them.”
Schitt’s Creek, which was released in 2015, had a six-season run as viewers tuned in to watch the wealthy Rose family start over in a country town after their lives were uprooted when they were conned by their business manager.
O’Hara won an Emmy and a Golden Globe for her role as the matriarch. After the end of the 2020 series, Dan was hesitant to carry immediately Schitt’s Creek back to life as the cast members parted ways with new projects.
“It’s very flattering that people want to know, but I would just say that in general, I think you have to let the good stuff sit for a minute. Let people finish the show,” she told E!
