Mark Zuckerberg says Meta users will start seeing new AI models and products from the company in a few months.
“In 2025, we’re rebuilding the foundation of our AI program,” Zuckerberg said on an investor call Wednesdayreferring to his company the AI lab was recently restructured. “In the coming months, we will start shipping new models and products…
But while Zuckerberg didn’t give a specific timeline or product, he highlighted AI-driven commerce as a particular focus for Meta.
“This also has implications for trade,” Zuckerberg continued. “The new agent shopping tool will allow people to find the right product from the business in our catalog.”
The proposal was surprising growing interest in shopping assistants with AI throughout the industry. both sides Google and OpenAI has created a platform for agent-enabled transactions, with companies like Stripe and Uber signed on as partners.
But while other AI labs have built significant technical infrastructure, Meta believes that access to personal data will prove unique.
“We’re starting to see the promise of AI that understands our personal context, including our history, interests, content and relationships,” Zuckerberg said on the call. “Much of what makes agents important is the unique context they can see, and we believe that Meta will be able to provide a unique personal experience.”

In DecemberMeta acquired general purpose agent developer Manus, which provides similar technology. At the time, Meta said it would “continue to operate and sell Manus services, as well as integrate them into our products.”
Call investors this time for the release of Meta’s last quarter resultswhich also announced a significant increase in new infrastructure spending. The company now expects to spend between $115 billion and $135 billion in overall capital expenditures during 2026, up from $72 billion in 2025.
In an official filing, Meta described the jump as “increased investment to support Meta Superintelligence Labs’ efforts and core business.”
While significant, that number is still less than Zuckerberg’s $600 billion projection the news is described for Meta infrastructure spending until 2028.
Meta has previously drawn criticism from investors for failing to clearly articulate how its massive AI investment will translate to the company’s bottom line. But while details are still thin, Zuckerberg made it clear that the AI lab’s work will soon reach the public.
“This will be a big year for delivering personal superintelligence, accelerating our business, building infrastructure for the future, and shaping how our company will move forward,” the investors said.
