HBO Max Loses These 4 Movies in February 2026: Here’s Why You Should Watch Them

director Ari Aster has been characterized mid summer like a breakup movie. To some extent, it is as part of an unconventional horror story. Danny (Florence Pugh) suffers a terrible tragedy at the beginning of the film, and her boyfriend, Christian (Jack Reynor), he feels he can’t leave her while she copes.

Months later, Christian’s friends, Josh (William Jackson Harper) and Mark (Will Poulter), invite him to a once-in-a-lifetime festival in rural Sweden. Dani comes with them, and what they find is a death cult hiding just out of sight. There’s a reason this festival is rarely held, and these poor fools are about to find out the hard way.

mid summer airs on HBO Max until February 1st.
