French far-right leader Marine Le Pen was questioned for a second day as part of an appeals trial over allegations her party embezzled EU funds over several years. The morning began with Le Pen admitting “carelessness”, while the lawyer of the European Parliament launched an attack in the afternoon, accusing her of using “simple denials” that do not explain how millions of euros disappear from public funds.
