
French far-right leader Marine Le Pen’s political future hangs in the balance as she faces an appeals trial in Paris, a case that could derail her party’s ambitions to radically reshape France with anti-immigration and nationalist policies. It will be Le Pen’s first chance to speak since the trial began last week, FRANCE 24’s Olivia Bizo said, adding that prosecutors are expected to question her about the role of key individuals involved in the case in which she was found guilty of misusing EU funds.
