The late Italian fashion designer Valentino Garavani, known as Valentino, dressed some of the most famous women and men in recent decades.

Since he founded the Valentino fashion house in 1960, his creations have appeared on countless red carpets and award ceremonies around the world.

Here are some Valentino designs, worn by some familiar faces, including some of his creative directors after his retirement in 2008.

Valentino’s brand continues to capture the public’s attention long after his retirement. Actor Pedro Pascal, known for his love of fashion, wore a Valentino outfit – designed by creative director Pierpaolo Piccioli – at the 2023 Met Gala –
