‘Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere’ (2025) – Hulu
The life of a prolific rock musician Bruce Springsteen finally gets the biopic treatment with Springsteen: deliver me from nothingness com The Bear break up Jeremy Allen White he gets to fill Springsteen’s shoes. Scott Cooper’s The film follows Springsteen as the humble musician from New Jersey struggles with his rising fame and the demons of his past, all while recording his career-defining album. Nebraska.
In addition to White, the ensemble cast includes Jeremy Strong, Paul Walter Hauser, Odessa Young, Marc Maron and recent 2026 Golden Globe winner Stephen Graham. This moody biopic is carried by the impressive performances of White and Strong in particular, and many critics agreed that White was able to embody the rock legend with aplomb. Overall, the film is a fascinating exploration of an American icon that works as a moving portrait of mental health struggles.

‘Bookish’ Season 1: PBS Masterpiece
Iconic British writer Mark Gatiss (Doctor Who, Sherlock) is bringing a new crime drama to PBS called Masterpiece books Starring Gatiss himself, books follows Gabriel Book (Gatiss), a bookseller and literature fanatic living in post-war London, who uses his love of books to help the local police solve crimes. books also explores Book’s “lavender marriage” to a woman named Trottie (Polly Walker), and his interest in a recently released criminal, Jack (Connor Finch).
books is a fun and quirky new crime drama, and with it coming from one of Britain’s best TV writers, I think it’s safe to say we’re in good hands. books is shaping up to be a fresh spin on a well-worn genre, imbued with pathos, danger, and plenty of cozy murder-mystery vibes. we will be sitting
‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ Season 1 – HBO Max

yes House of the Dragon did not satisfy your need for a game of thrones fix then maybe A knight of the seven kingdoms will the second GoT The spin-off will take place a full century before the events of GoT and serves as an adaptation of the Tales of Dunk and Egg novels Naive but brave Ser Duncan the Tall (Peter Claffey) and his squire, Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell), they face a series of dangerous adventures together during the Targaryen reign.
Critics have already been praising this small scale game of thrones spin-off, delighted with its buddy comedy twist and much lower stakes compared to something like House of the Dragon Still, the series gets darker and more intense as the season progresses, but it’s also defined by its amazing sense of gameplay. Overall, it gives Westeros fans something a little different.

‘The Smashing Machine’ (2025) – HBO Max
Mixed martial artist and UFC fighter Mark Kerr (Dwayne Johnson) is an up-and-comer during the 1990s, with high aspirations to become one of the best fighters in the world. However, Kerr privately struggles with an opioid addiction that puts him in an often volatile place with his girlfriend, Dawn (Emily Blunt). This sports biopic of Benny Safdie also stars real life wrestlers including Bas Rutten, Ryan Bader i Oleksandr Usyk.
Johnson moves away from silly comedies and silly action flicks to prestige drama with A24 to prove he really has the acting chops. In fact, Johnson completely anchors himself The Smashing Machine with his revelatory performance in a biopic that succeeds in subverting clichés and creating an entirely new cinematic experience.

“Drops of God” Season 2 – Apple TV
A co-production between France and Japan, this International Emmy-winning drama takes a look at the world of wine and is based on the manga series of the same name. Drops of God Season 1 begins with the death of world wine authority Alexandre Léger (Stanley Weber). As the wine industry mourns his death, his estranged daughter, Camille (Fleur Geffrier), has to fight with his father’s protégé, Issei (Tomohisa Yamashita), by his inheritance.
2nd season of Drops of God will be set three years after the events of season 1. Camille and Issei embark on a journey together to discover a mystery that Léger could not solve himself: the origin of the world’s best wine. We’re pretty excited for the second season of his critically acclaimed show that manages to combine entertaining melodrama with a fascinating insight into wine.
