Breeding Bates alum Katie Bates she had her husband Travis ClarkHe returned when he wanted to exchange careers, a few months before the scandal of his affair.
“Sharing a great life update 🩺❤️ We’ve been going through a lot behind the scenes and we’re finally ready to share that Travis is in nursing school,” Bates, 25, wrote via Instagram in June 2025. “I couldn’t be more proud of him!”
She continued, “Since it all started last year, I’ve seen him work so hard, stay focused, keep writing and recording music and pour himself into this new path, while still showing up for me and the kids in the most meaningful ways.”
Bates and Clark, 24, have been married since 2021 and share two children.

“This decision came with a lot of thought and prayer, and we’re confident it’s the right step for our family and we’re very excited for what lies ahead,” Bates explained at the time, adding a note to her social media followers. “Thank you for being a part of our journey. We are truly grateful that you are here with us!”
Months later, Bates expressed his gratitude for Clark and his family before Christmas.
“Thank you for this life and family you have given me, Jesus,” Bates wrote Instagram in December 2025, including Clark in pictures of their holiday celebration. “I hope you all had the best Sunday!”
Clark, who has also shared pictures of her nursing school training and family life on her social media page, he admitted his infidelity the following month.
“It’s hard to write, but I owe the truth and I owe an apology. I was unfaithful to my wife,” he wrote on Saturday, January 17, on social media. “I had an affair and broke her trust repeatedly. There is no excuse for what I did. This was my failure and my only responsibility. I know words don’t begin to express the damage I caused or the depth of hurt I’ve caused in her life, but I’m so sorry.”
Clark continued: “I am sorry for the pain, humiliation and betrayal I caused my wife through my choices. I understand that an apology does not fix what I broke and forgiveness is not something I deserve or can ask for.”
According to Clark, he planned to take responsibility for his actions by “getting help and doing the work to change.”
“(I hope) to become a more honest and responsible man, regardless of (the) outcome,” Clark concluded. “I ask for privacy and grace for Katie as she processes this in her own time.”
Bates, who did not immediately publicly address her husband’s scandal, revealed this hours earlier suffered a pregnancy loss.
“I will spend the rest of my life missing you,” Bates wrote via Instagram, confirming in a tearful video that she lost the baby.
Katie, one of the Gil i Kelly Jo Bates’19 childrenand Clark began dating in March 2020 after meeting through mutual friends. They got engaged in April 2021 and married the following December. Katie gave birth to daughter Hailey and son Harvey in 2023 and 2024, respectively.
