Josh Allen breaks down in tears after Buffalo Bills playoff loss

Josh Allen struggled to maintain his composure while reacting to the Buffalo Bills’ 33-30 NFL playoff loss to the Denver Broncos on Saturday, Jan. 17.

“It’s extremely difficult,” Allen, 29, admitted with tears in his eyes during a post-match press conference. “I feel like I let my teammates down tonight.”

Allen struggled noticeably during Saturday’s AFC playoff game at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colo., where the Bills lost in overtime to the Broncos. Allen committed a new career-high four turnovers for him in the playoffs, he reported USA Today. (Bills getting back on track James Cook also searched once during the second trimester.)

“It’s been a long season,” a tearful Allen confessed. “I hate how it ended! It will stay with me for a long time.”

Allen was 25-of-39, or 64.1 percent overall, for 283 yards on the gridiron during Saturday’s playoff matchup.

“We can’t win with five turnovers,” the QB admitted. “He had two touchdowns, threw two (interceptions). When you shoot yourself in the foot like that, you don’t deserve to win football games.”

He continued: “We’ve been tested all year, down two points at halftime. Go out, fire, smoke, hold them to three (points). We find ourselves leading this game … if one or two plays go our way, it’s a different story.”

Earlier in the night, the Denver Broncos pounced Social Media Trend 2016 for trolling the accounts with a now-viral photo of Allen’s wife, Hailee Steinfeldwhich was originally taken a decade ago. The now ironic photo, which was shown on the Jumbotron during Saturday’s game at Mile High, showed Steinfeld, 29, in Broncos gear as the Denver team beat the Carolina Panthers in Super Bowl 50 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.

CBS reporter Tracy Wolfson revealed On Saturday, Allen laughed off the now-viral 2016 photo, saying he “wouldn’t bring it up at home.”

“He asked Josh about that photo and he said he had no idea it was floating around,” Wolfson revealed via X. “He laughed and said he was probably paid to be there.”

It’s been a whirlwind week for the couple. Steinfeld revealed in her latest “Beau Society” newsletter on Friday, Jan. 17 that she was cheering on Allen’s Buffalo Bills as they beat the Jacksonville Jaguars, 27-24, in their Golden Globes warmup last Sunday.

“On the day of the (Golden) Globes, there was something exciting on TV that I’m sure you all were watching,” Steinfeld teased. “The release was at the same time as the glam, so I was a bit (very) distracted.”

She credited her glam squad for keeping up with her schedule as she celebrated her husband’s big win.

“My glam team is amazing at what they do and worked around my constant movement,” the actress wrote in her newsletter. “Andrew (Fitzsimons(my hairdresser) warned me every time an iron was near my face, so I wouldn’t accidentally burn myself.”
