Colton Underwood he is replying to his previous one The Traitors to cost Michael Rapaportthe apparent inquiry into his sexuality.
“I think anyone who’s closeted or queer who has to hide a part of themselves is always going to be a little bit sensitive to comments and digs,” Underwood, 33, he said Uproar in an interview published on Friday, January 16. “I don’t know if (it shows), but Yam Yam (Arocho) he was very excited when it happened. He said: “Michael, I’ve never had to live in the closet because I could be out at any age, but I have friends who have, and I would never wish that on people.”
He added: “It shocked me. It got to me. And it was very emotional.”
Underwood, who previously starred in and dated women while appearing in both The bachelorette i The Baccalaureatecame out as gay in 2021. Then the reality star he claimed he was being blackmailed and, consequently, decided to publicly announce his sexuality.
In this week’s episode 5 of the reality series, Rapaport, 55, hinted that Underwood was a good liar because she hid her sexuality.
“No one in this room would be better at keeping a secret than you,” the actor said as he pointed to Underwood across the table.
“Here it is,” Colton replied during the episode. “You think that was funny for 29 years of my life?”
The comedian then apparently tried to walk back his comments, clarifying that he wasn’t referring to Underwood’s sexuality.
“Oh, no, no, no, no, no, that has nothing to do with it,” Rapaport stated. “I think you came into this game loving the idea of being a traitor.”

Getty ImagesDespite her claims, Rapaport’s fellow contestants immediately responded in support of Underwood, condemning Rapaport’s apparent disdain.
“You can’t blame someone who’s been forced into a closet for most of their life,” Johnny Weir he said, while Arocho called Rapaport’s comments “a very low blow.”
“It wasn’t meant to be,” Rapaport insisted, to no avail.
“Today, the way you talked to Colton, writing your name is enough for me.” Natalie Anderson he said “So I think we should get together and vote him out of here.”
Rapaport was eventually eliminated from the competition with 11 of 16 votes. (Ron Funches received the other five votes.)
“You don’t make me feel good,” Underwood told Rapaport while voting. “I don’t want you in the castle.”
While talking to UproarUnderwood explained why she “had to” vote Rapaport off the show.
“I’ve been doing television long enough to understand that, ideally, (the show) probably didn’t want Michael to act for as long as he was,” Underwood told the channel. “I think they thought he would piss people off in Episode 1, which he did, but he was so bold that the Faithfuls said, ‘That can’t be a traitor. I would never play like that.'”
He continued: “We don’t want to lose a vote, but we’re also really annoyed and distracted by this guy. Finally, I got to a point where I said, ‘Screw you. I don’t care who you like (or) what you are, you have to get out of here.'”
