French President Emmanuel Macron held an emergency meeting of the Defense Council at the Elysée Palace on Thursday, where he discussed, among other things, Greenland and Iran. He then visited a military base in the south of France. In his address to the soldiers, Macron emphasized the tense geopolitical situation and announced an increase in the budget of the French army.
