Meghan Markle is sharing an emotional family moment.
Leading to his Instagram account On Friday, January 16, Meghan, 44, shared a sweet black-and-white video of herself dancing with her husband Prince Harry, 41.
The clip was made even more special by a detail pointed out by the former dresses subtitle protagonist: The footage was filmed by the couple’s 4-year-old daughter, Lilibet. (The couple also share son Archie, 6.)
The Duchess of Sussex leaned into the current ‘2016’ Instagram trend by sharing a never-before-seen throwback photo of herself cozying up to Harry a decade ago.
“When 2026 feels like 2016… you had to be there,” Meghan wrote. “🎥 Credit: Our daughter.”
It was an eventful year for the couple as they started dating in 2016 before officially confirming their relationship the following year.
Meghan spoke for the first time publicly about their relationship by means of a cover for Vanity Fair that was published in September 2017.
“We’re a couple. We’re in love,” she told the magazine at the time. “I’m sure there’s going to be a time when we have to introduce ourselves and introduce ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people understand is that this is our moment. This is for us. It’s part of what makes it so special, that it’s just ours. But we’re happy. Personally, I love a great love story.”
In May 2018, Meghan and Harry tied the knot in an elaborate royal wedding at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor, England.
The following year, the couple welcomed their first son, Archie, who was born in May 2019. Their daughter Lilibet followed in June 2021 and was named after of Queen Elizabeth II children’s nickname
After ceasing to be members of the royal family in 2020, Harry and Meghan have kept their family life relatively private, sharing only bits and pieces over the years.
They recently released a holiday card in December 2025 which showed a rare view of the family, including Archie and Lilibet. The children’s faces were obscured in the image which showed Archie with his arms tightly wrapped around Harry, who cradled his son’s face. The image also showed Meghan crouching down to Lilibet’s level and touching foreheads with her daughter.
“Happy Holidays! From our family to yours,” Meghan wrote at the time while sharing the image via Instagram.
Meghan also slightly pulled back the curtain on her family life with her release Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration special on Netflix.
In the special, she talked about some of the family’s Christmas traditions, such as making advent calendars for her children, with each day featuring a gift or handwritten note from their mother.
“(It’s) trying to embrace and lean in to make every day of this month special as you complete a year,” Meghan said of the importance of an advent calendar. “But don’t feel like you have to do everything. Just embrace the special touches that bring you joy.”
