Iranian authorities deployed riot police in Tehran’s main square and streets on Thursday evening to prevent protests, FRANCE 24 correspondent Siavosh Ghazi said. Ghazi also reported that Iran has yet to respond to the White House’s claim that it has halted the executions of some 800 protesters.
