NASA is preparing the first manned mission to the moon in more than 50 years

NASA’s first image of the moon with astronauts in more than half a century is scheduled to take place in early February. The lunar rocket is being moved to the pad at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida this weekend, and a fueling test is scheduled to be conducted early next month. Until all of that is completed, no launch date can be confirmed; the earliest a flyby around the moon could take off is February 6.
