Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro was transferred to prison on Thursday to begin serving a 27-year sentence for masterminding the failed coup, under conditions described by a court as “more favorable”. The 70-year-old was convicted of trying to reverse his 2022 election defeat to Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva.
