There have been many love stories inside A universe of Chicagobut Frost and Novak’s budding romance will bring even more crossover than ever before, with a little drama thrown in for good measure.
“A little bit of a love triangle (will be) playing out here in the next, you know, five or six episodes,” Chicago Med showrunner Allen MacDonald explained exclusively Us Weekly like the show returned in January since his mid-season break.

While Allen was coy about whether Naomi has a chance to win Frost over, he did confirm that Frost’s romantic storyline “will involve a recurring guest star who has crossed over from another show” for the rest of the season.

Allen initially scoffed Frost’s love interest a wesaying, “I don’t want to say any names,” before confirming that Novak will go back and forth between Chicago Fire i Chicago Med.
The showrunner also revealed that Chicago Fire fans will also get to see Frost crossover to this show as well love is not one-sided (or limited to one show).
“It’s not just going to be one way. It’s going to be both ways,” Allen said, noting that the Frost-Novak connection “will be covered in both shows.”

Chicago Fire executive producer Reza Tabrizi explained exclusively we last month that her writer’s room is just as excited to see how the crossover love story unfolds. However, he said that Novak’s feelings for Frost may cause problems with paramedic Violet Mikami (Hanako Greensmith) and firefighter Sal Vásquez (Brandon Larracuente).
Tabrizi explained, “The dynamic of Novak and Vasquez now with Frost involved, and obviously what happened in the fall finale with Vasquez and Violet, and how, by default, they ended up very close and didn’t want to stop drinking for the night, that’s something that (they will explore) more.”
He said, “There are a lot of twists and turns,” revealing that the group’s dynamic “will be interesting to watch.”

The couple, however, did not end up returning home. Instead, they went out drinking and seemed to start capture feelings.
How Chicago Fire As fans know, Vasquez and Novak already had their own flirty hookup, which could get messy now that he and Violet are getting close, and Novak is spending more time with Frost.

He added that as the seasons go by, “that element” and “dynamic” between them the four characters of One Chicago will be explored.
“How this dynamic brings its own challenges is something that will be interesting to see,” concluded Tabrizi.
