Maralee Nichols offers a rare glimpse into her daily life with her 4-year-old son, Theo.
“Weekend adventures ⚡️,” Nichols, 35, wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, January 13, next to a carousel of family photos.
In a moment, Nichols picked up Theo while admiring a flock of flamingos at a local zoo. The mother-son pair also visited the New Children’s Museum and the beach in follow-up photos.
Nichols confirmed in December 2021 that she was expecting her child, suing the NBA star Tristan Thompson for child support and claiming he was the father. Thompson, 34, acknowledged paternity of Theo in January 2022 after receiving a positive DNA test.

“Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions,” Thompson wrote. in a statement on social networks at the time, weeks after Theo’s birth. “Now that paternity has been established, I hope to be able to raise our son amicably.”
He continued: “I sincerely apologize to everyone I have hurt or disappointed during this ordeal, both publicly and privately.”
In addition to Theo, Thompson is the father of three children. Shares son Prince, 9 years old, with ex Jordan Craigand children True, 7, and Tatum, 3, with ex Khloé Kardashian. (Thompson and Kardashian, 41, completed an embryo transfer with a surrogate to conceive Tatum less than a month before Nichol’s lawsuit.)
“Khloé, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the pain and humiliation I’ve caused you. You don’t deserve the way I’ve treated you over the years,” Thompson added in her statement. “My actions have certainly not aligned with the way I see you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you think. Again, I’m very sorry.”

It would be polite not to,” Kardashian said in a June 2023 episode. the kardashians, breaking his silence. “But hey, if you do, you won’t even give me a warning before the rest of the world? It’s just an extra slap in the face. It’s humiliating. I’m embarrassed. I’d rather be alone than be around people.”
Thompson and Nichols later reached a settlement in December 2022, in which the basketball player ordered to pay $10,000 in the monthly maintenance of the children.
Nichols, meanwhile, has focused on raising Theo as a single dad.

“I love taking care of my son on a daily basis and tending to his needs,” she explained exclusively Us Weekly in February 2022. “It is so rewarding. I never knew I could love someone so much. He brings so much joy to my life and is my greatest blessing. I will do everything in my power to make sure he is provided for.”
She continued: “I’m going to be the best mom I can be. I love playing with him and making him laugh. He has the cutest smile and is always so happy. I also love reading to him and putting him to sleep. He’s so sweet.”
