Todd i Julie Chrisley offered an important update on the 13-year-old daughter Chloe Chrisley after his release from prison.
“I think it’s taken us a little bit of time to get back into our rhythm, into our rhythm of everyday life,” Julie, 53, explained during the episode on Wednesday, January 14. “Chrisley Confessions 2.0” Podcast.. “We’ve come home with different situations with all the kids. Everything is different. I think it’s just trying to get back into that rhythm, because it’s really me, you and Chloe every day.”
The couple told listeners that Chloe has a “teenage personality” that has come out more since her release from prison in May 2025.
“He has such a huge personality. His personality comes out more every day,” Todd, 56, said. “You know what she said to me that day? She said, ‘Girl, don’t try me.'”
Chloe is the biological daughter of Todd’s oldest son, Kyle Chrisleyand his ex Angela Johnson. Todd and Julie officially adopted Chloe a month before reporting to prison in 2023. The Chrisleys: Back to reality The docuseries, which aired on Lifetime in September 2025, showed Chloe struggling to adjust to a new normal with her sister. Savannah Santa as his guardian while Todd and Julie were away.
“Your attitude is not very appropriate,” Savannah, 28, told Chloe during the premiere episode of the docuseries. Chloe hit back, refusing to “act like life is normal” while being filmed, and with her parents in jail.
“We have to make the best of a very bad situation, okay?” Savannah replied.

Todd noted that there is a “fear for life” when Chloe gives him “lip” versus when he has an attitude with Julie. “She’s been tight-lipped because she’s 13 now,” he added.

During Wednesday’s episode of the podcast, Todd said that Chloe “is all about straightening her hair and blowing it,” which she’s not interested in.
Julie, meanwhile, told Todd that they have to “pick our battles,” and Chloe straightening her hair isn’t one of them. However, wanting to do black eyeliner is an argument she decided to have.
“I said, ‘Let me tell you something. You walk out of there with one cat’s eye at 13. I’m going to put the other eye in,'” he explained. “I said, ‘You’re not painting with eyeliner, whatever that is.’
Julie said she enlisted Savannah to help get Chloe a new make-up, which cost $750. “We’re just starting to get into that world,” Julie added.
How Todd and Chloe’s relationship has evolved
Todd explained that they have “great banter back and forth,” even when Chloe isn’t doing something Todd asked her to do. Father and daughter spent time together over the New Year’s holiday when Julie took their youngest son, Grayson Chrisleyto see his school, the University of Alabama, play in the Rose Bowl.
“She’s such a fun girl. She has a great personality,” Todd added. “I love her and have a great relationship with her.”
