Bradley remained in this position. Haney doesn’t just beat the enemy. He changes the way they see themselves. The data shows a lost result. The abuse, argues Bradley, shows up later.
He first referred to George Kambosos Jr. Before Haney, Kambosos was a lightweight champion with power and confidence. Haney hit him twice. After that, Bradley said, the design was complete. There was no surprise. Kambosos continued to fight, but the eye did not fully recover.
Regis Prograis is another model where Bradley returns. Prograis was knocked down, dominated, and outboxed over twelve rounds in 2023. The loss did not end his career, but forced a reset. Different purposes. It’s a peaceful way. A fighter who redefines where he stood.
Bradley includes Vasiliy Lomachenko. According to him, Lomachenko walked away after losing to Haney because he had reached a certain conclusion. “He retired after losing to Haney,” Bradley said. “Deebo Dev is real.”
The most telling sign, Bradley believes, is the behavior of the fighters now. Additional clauses. Limit limits. Deliberate. Haney has become the fight people need protection from, not access.
Bradley joked that Haney has more retired fighters than Social Security. It was said innocently, but the idea came true. Haney is no longer fired. He is a problem with consequences, and the opponents seem to know before the bell rings. The fighters seem to understand the danger now, even before the contract.
