Candace Cameron Bure she’s been married for almost 30 years, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have opinions about today’s dating culture.
“What I think has been lost today is the human connection,” Cameron Bure, 49, said Us Weeklyexclusive clip from “The Candace Cameron Bure” Podcast.. “Because of our phones, because of social media, because of dating apps.”
Cameron Bure continued: “I’m not saying these aren’t good tools. I know a lot of people who have met on dating apps, or you on a dating show.”
Cameron Bure was referring to her season 13 podcast cohost Madi Prewett Tortillawhich appeared in The Baccalaureate in 2020. (Madi met her husband Grant Troutt in 2021.)
“But it’s really, like you said, a person isn’t going to drop on your front door like a package from Amazon,” Cameron Bure continued. “So you have to put yourself out there and not hide behind your phone or your screen. Or be afraid to have a real conversation with someone to talk to them on the phone and not just text them.”
Cameron Bure said women looking for a significant other should be “in the places to find the kind of people you want to date.” In other words, someone who is “looking for a man of God” may not find him in a bar.
“Maybe you’ll find him there,” Candace teased. “But it might not be the best place.”

Candace has married her husband Valery Bure since 1996. They were introduced by Candace’s ex Full House to cost Dave Coulier.
“We went on a date the next day, and within a year we were engaged,” she said during a 2014 interview. Candace and Valeri, 51, are parents to children Natasha, 27, Lev, 25, and Maksim, 23.
Candace and Valeri have been honest about the ups and downs of their relationship over the years, but the said the actress Us Weekly last month about their “wonderful” marriage.
“I love my husband very much. We are enjoying each other very much,” she said in a cover interview at the time. “Because somebody knows when you’ve had kids and you go on that walk or that trip together, which can be great, but it’s basically just the two of you again, once your kids are all grown up.”
Candace continued, “It’s like we’ve started dating again, and it’s been really beautiful. And I’m in such a happy, happy place, as Val is, and I’m looking forward to the next 30 years, and I’m hoping for more than that.”
The actress explained the biggest differences in her relationship with Valeri now that they are empty nesters.
“We go to the movies a lot more. Val really blew me away and we flew to Las Vegas for the day to see him. The wizard of Oz — my favorite movie of all time — in The Sphere,” she said. “I literally cried because I was so overwhelmed and grateful. I’m in such a happy, blissful place.”
