Netflix had a big night at the 2026 Golden Globes with 7 wins

The 83rd Golden Globes was an incredible evening for the streaming platform. Netflix led the pack with seven wins, while Apple TV and HBO Max earned three awards each, and Hulu earned one.

Among Netflix’s highlights, the hit series “Teens” claimed four awards, including best limited series. The show also won for best actor (Stephen Graham), supporting actor (Owen Cooper), and supporting actress (Erin Doherty) in a miniseries. Netflix’s most-watched title, “KPop Demon Hunters,” won best animated feature and best original song.

Netflix’s Golden Globes sweep comes as the company prepares for its biggest move in Hollywood: acquisition of Warner Bros. The awards highlight Netflix’s growing dominance and can reassure investors that the company is ready to manage the legacy of powerhouses like Warner Bros.

For other streamers, Apple TV won two awards for “The Studio,” one for best television series (musical or comedy) and the other for best actor in a TV series, which was awarded to Seth Rogen. Rhea Seehorn also won best lead actress in a television drama for her performance in “Pluribus.”

HBO was successful with the medical drama “The Pitt”, which took two Golden Globes, including one for actor Noah Wylie.

Hulu’s lone win came from Michelle Williams, who won best lead actress in a limited series or anthology for “Dying For Sex.” However, Hulu Originals like “Just Murder in the Building,” “Heaven,” “Chad Powers,” and “The Bear” didn’t turn nominations into wins.

Meanwhile, Disney + received 15 nominations – including “Andor” and “Elio” – but did not win this year.
