Meta declare has appointed former Trump adviser Dina Powell McCormick as president and vice chairman of the company. Meta said Powell McCormick will become a member of the company’s management team and will guide Meta’s overall strategy and execution.
“Dina’s experience at the highest levels of global finance, combined with her deep connections around the world, make her ideally suited to help Meta manage the next phase of growth as the company’s President and Vice Chairman,” Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a blog post.
Prior to joining Meta, Powell McCormick worked as the deputy national security adviser to President Donald Trump.
Trump celebrated the news Social Truth in the post read: “HAPPY DAY TO POWELL MCCORMICK, WHO HAS JUST BEEN NAMED THE NEW META PRESIDENT. A good choice by Mark Z!!! He is a fantastic, and very talented, man, who served the Trump Administration with strength and distinction.
Powell McCormick previously served under Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice during the George W. Bush administration. He also spent 16 years at Goldman Sachs as a partner in senior leadership roles.
last week, Meta hired Curtis Joseph Mahoneya former Microsoft legal executive who also served as deputy US trade representative during Trump’s first term.
