Breeding Bates alumni Lawson Bates i Tiffany Bates have officially welcomed baby #2.
“The water just keeps coming,” says Tiffany, 32, in a nearly hour-long vlog uploaded to YouTube on Sunday, January 11, announcing the birth of the happy couple’s second baby. “We have to go to the hospital.”
“We are SO EXCITED to share Baby Teddy’s OFFICIAL BIRTH VLOG 🥳,” the couple captioned the YouTube post. “Be sure to like, share and subscribe so you don’t miss an update! 🎞️”
The reality TV couple announced in June 2025 that they were expecting.
“The sequel to our family is officially in production 🎞️🍼,” the couple wrote via Instagram at the time. “BABY 2 ARRIVING WINTER 2025 🌟”.
So many stars announced in 2024 that they are expanding their families. True to form, the couple also shared the happy news via their vlog, where Tiffany opened up about her reaction to the pregnancy news.
“I literally can’t believe it. I’m still in shock. Tiffany is in shock,” Lawson said after the couple left the doctor’s appointment in the video. “You’re excited, you know you want a new baby, but whenever it finally happens, you can’t believe it. It’s a miracle.”
The couple welcomed their son Will in July 2024 after Tiffany she suffered a miscarriage the previous year.
“I was so scared. I’m so happy, but at the same time, I’m scared because I don’t want to lose this one, too,” Tiffany tearfully said in a March 2024 YouTube video after finding out she was pregnant with Will. “But, I know God’s in control… Oh my God, guys. (That pregnancy test) says, ‘pregnant.’ It says, ‘pregnant!’ You guys, wow! I’m so excited, but I’m so nervous.”
Tiffany revealed her pregnancy to Lawson by installing a charming “baby” sign in her living room, accompanied by three positive pregnancy tests with a touch of rustic inspiration.
Lawson said she had “no idea” the sign was supposed to reveal a new baby was on the way.
Gil Bates and Kelly Jo Bates have 19 children and for 10 seasons, their lives were documented on Bringing Up Bates. The couple married in December 1987 and welcomed their first child the following year. By 2012, Kelly had given birth to nine boys and 10 girls, with no multiples in the mix. (…)
“I was so surprised,” he joked. “I didn’t even get it. I can’t believe it. I literally started looking at Tiff while she was talking and I was like, ‘Wait a second, it says, ‘Baby’.”
He continued: “I’m still in the twilight zone. Last time, it didn’t even feel like it was real and it feels the same way again. I can’t process that it’s happening. It’s almost like when I was in the back of the boat with the pastor and I was like, ‘This is it.’ i will get married I can’t believe it.”
Lawson, the fourth eldest son of Gil i Kelly Jo Batesbegan dating Tiffany in February 2021. After eight months of dating, they he committed in October 2021 and tied the knot less than a year later in May 2022.
Almost a year into their marriage, Tiffany found out she was expecting. Sadly, she experienced the heartbreaking pregnancy loss of her daughter, Hope, in September 2023.

“Our little angel went home to heaven,” Tiffany wrote via Instagram the following December. “Our hearts have never been more broken. As we take time to grieve, we continue to praise the Lord for all His blessings, including our miracle baby. God is still good.”
She then added, “We can’t wait to hold our baby one day! We’ve read all of your comments and are so encouraged by your kindness. The stories you’ve shared with us about your personal journeys have truly touched our hearts, we’re praying for you!”
