French and Hudgens are best known for starring in the film Musical Baccalaureate franchise as Sharpay Evans and Gabriella Montez, respectively, but their friendship began earlier when they appeared together in a different project.
“We actually worked together a year before on a Sears commercial, and we’ve been really close since that day,” French exclusively said. Us Weekly in 2019. “So people don’t know, I think some people do, but they think it was that movie that brought us together and it really didn’t.”
