Lala Kent i Ambyr Childers it didn’t get off on the right foot, but they’ve since developed an amazing friendship.
The pair first butted heads amid Kent’s romance Randall Emmettwho was married to Childers in 2009 and 2017. Emmett and Childers welcomed daughters London and Rhylee in 2010 and 2013, respectively, before calling it quits.
A year after Emmett confirmed his romance with Kent, Childers made headlines for calling Kent out via social media.
“Since you won’t answer my texts, I’ll try here,” she wrote on Instagram in August 2019. “Lala, I appreciate your love for my kids, but until you’re officially their stepmom, please refrain from posting about my kids on social media! I hope (you) understand where I’m coming from. Thank you so much.”
Kent and Emmett became engaged in 2018 and welcomed their daughter, Ocean, in March 2021. After postponing their wedding due to COVID-19, Kent sparked divisive speculation in October 2021 when she deleted all traces of her then-fiance from her social media. A month later, we confirmed that Kent and Emmett had called it quits.
Later that year, Emmett claimed that Kent and Childers were joining together to launch a smear campaign against him
“I believe that Ambyr and Lauren (Kent’s real name) are working together in (an) attempt to destroy my reputation to give them both an advantage for custody,” Emmett alleged in documents obtained by Us Weekly in November 2022.
Kent apparently slammed Emmett’s comments via his Instagram story that same month.
“When the day comes that you crash and burn, you can try to blame everyone around you for your death. And not if, but when that day comes, where the truth about you that you tried so desperately to hide is revealed, you will have to look in the mirror and know (that) no one did this to you but you,” Kent wrote.
