Haley Kalil plans to move to dismiss Matt Kalil’s lawsuit
Haley’s lawyer Matthew Bialick said the influencer plans to move to dismiss Matt’s lawsuit in a statement to people on January 7, 2026, saying “the case lacks legal support.”
“The claims seek to dramatically expand existing law and set a harmful new precedent by holding a woman accountable for simply speaking openly and honestly about a past relationship,” Bialick told the outlet. “This raises serious First Amendment concerns, especially in a case involving two public figures.”
Matt’s lawyer Ryan Saba argued in a statement a we that Haley “revealed private and intimate details about Matt Kalil that were not of legitimate public interest and subjected Matt Kalil and his family to widespread ridicule and unwanted attention.”
“(Haley) Kalil shared these sensitive personal details about her ex-husband in an apparent quest to seek fortune and fame,” the statement continued. “His actions were extreme, outrageous, beyond all possible bounds of decency, and have caused substantial harm to Matt Kalil, his family and his business.”
In a separate statement a weadded Haley’s attorney, “The lawsuit alleges that Ms. Kalil claimed that sex with Mr. Kalil would leave her ‘tearful.’ Allowing that allegation to form the basis of a legal claim would mean that a woman could be sued simply for truthfully describing physical pain during sex, which is inconsistent with the First Amendment.”
