Frankie and Van Ness, 24, started dating in 2022 when they were students at the University of Iowa. Van Ness was an All-Big Ten selection for the Hawkeyes before becoming the 13th overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft.
The two celebrated their one-year anniversary in 2023, with Van Ness posting a carousel of their time together via Instagram.
“My partner in crime. My best friend,” she captioned the post. “Can’t believe it’s been 365 days with you. Looking forward to many more. Love you Frankie ❤️ Happy 1 year.”
The Packers and Bears split two games against each other this year, with each team winning at home. Green Bay enters the game at Soldier Field in Chicago on a four-game losing streak, including against the Bears on Dec. 20.
The Bears haven’t won the Super Bowl since 1985 and last reached the Big Game in the 2006 season, when they lost to the Indianapolis Colts. With the other major men’s professional sports teams battling it out in the Windy City, Cole said he hopes to rewrite history.
“I feel that way about Chicago sports in general. I’ve always felt that way about the Cubs, here obviously in Chicago with the Bears, recently it’s felt that way about the Bulls,” he said. “I think Chicago is just a city steeped in history, which is amazing, and that’s what makes it such a special place. But that being said, we want to build our own history here. We have a chance to do that on Saturday.”
