Meri was the last stop Kody’s ex-wives apology tourand it wasn’t the smoothest conversation. After Kody and Meri addressed their friends’ involvement in their marital problems, Kody admitted, “Listen, (an) apology is very much needed here because this is still so toxic. And I apologize for that.”
Meri asked, “Are you apologizing for being toxic to me, or are you just being general?” Kody replied, “Yes, I apologize for being toxic to you, Meri, or to you.”
As the conversation continued, Meri told Kody to “stop with the word ‘apology,'” admitting that she felt “insincere” the more she said it. “Your use of the word ‘apologise’ seems very extreme and rather forced to me,” explained Meri.
Kody, for his part, confessed that he was “uncomfortable” and for that he continued to apologize. Meri and Kody left with very different ideas of how their conversation went.
“From here, I hope the swords are down. If we can move forward in the future, just making sure that we’re very kind, we can stay on good terms with each other,” Kody told the cameras.
Meri said in her own confessional: “I’m not sure what all this means at this point. There’s been a lot going on throughout this divorce process, throughout the property process, things I’ve discovered since then. But it doesn’t affect me. I’m not listening to what he’s saying.”
