Kansas City chiefs are ‘aware’ of domestic violence allegations posted through social media wide receiver Rashee riceher ex-girlfriend.
“The club is aware of the allegations on social media and is in communication with the National Football League. We have no further comment at this time,” the team said in a statement to ESPN i people on Wednesday, January 7.
Earlier Wednesday, Rice’s ex, Dacoda Nichole Joneshas shared graphic photos a Instagram of bruises to his torso and damage to his home, detailing the alleged abuse he said he endured “for years.”
Jones did not name the alleged perpetrator in his post.

Rice has yet to publicly comment on Jones’ claims.

Rice, 25, and Jones share two sons, Cayden and Cassai.
In August, Rice was suspended through the first six games of the 2025 NFL season after his participation in a Car accident in March 2024 which has left several people injured. Prosecutors said Rice drove at 119 mph on a Dallas highway, causing injuries to other people.
Rice was sentenced to five years of probation and 30 days in jail in July, after pleading guilty to two third-degree felony counts of hit-and-run involving serious bodily injury and speeding on a highway causing bodily injury.
“Last March I was involved in a high-speed crash in Dallas,” Rice said in a statement through his attorney after the sentencing. “There have been many sleepless nights thinking about the damage my actions caused, and I will continue to work to the best of my ability to make sure everyone affected is kept safe.”
The NFL star added: “I urge everyone to obey the speed limit, drive safely and drive smart. Last but not least, I deeply regret the physical damage to people and property. I apologize for the harm I caused to innocent drivers and their families.”
In September, fellow Rice Travis Kelce was criticized to wear a shirt in support of the suspended player.
Kelce, 36, and teammate Tyquan Thornton were seen wearing T-shirts emblazoned with photos of Rice and the words “Free 4,” a reference to the wide receiver’s jersey number, as they arrived at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City.
A lawyer for Kathryn Kuykendallone of the victims of the March 2024 incident, attacked her choice of clothing. In April, Kuykendal reached a civil settlement with Rice for injuries he said he suffered when Rice’s Lamborghini struck the Uber he was riding in.
Kuykendal’s lawyer, Mark Lenahantold TMZ in September, “I respect Kelce and Thornton supporting their teammate, but the ‘gym teacher’ needs to talk to the history teacher.”
“Rashee is not Nelson Mandela or Pepe Mujicamen who fought for what they believed in,” Lenahan said.
He continued, “Free Rashee? He already thinks he’s going to get away scot-free. He hasn’t paid a dime of the $1.1 million judgment he already owes our client, who is living anything but pain-free. Talk (and) t-shirts are cheap. If Kelce and Thornton really believed Rashee, maybe they’ll pay him the money since they’re paying his victim. At least they can be better models if they wear a t-shirt with an important service warning audience: ‘Run 4!’”
