US forces on Wednesday seized two oil tankers, one in the North Atlantic and the other in the Caribbean, as part of the Trump administration’s blockade of Venezuelan oil exports. Secretary of State Marco Rubio has said that the US will take 30 million to 50 million barrels of oil and sell them on the market. The money “then we will control how it is dispersed so that it will be managed in a way that will benefit the people of Venezuela, not corruption, not the regime.”
