How we For the first time, Baiul, 48, and Farina agreed to divorce on October 6. Before the settlement, the exes went back and forth, hurling accusations at each other.

On August 29, months after Farina filed for divorce, Baiul claimed she had violated a court order requiring the parties not to harass each other. She claimed he had sent her an “extensive text message” on August 22, 2025, in which he “harassed, degraded, belittled, attacked and attempted to manipulate her”. She demanded that she be forced to appear in court and explain herself.

He also accused Farina of failing to deliver a 2020 Mercedes ordered from him and of failing to deliver a list of all the items he removed from his marital home.

In court documents filed in July 2025, Baiul claimed that Farina had taken many items from her old home and moved into a $1.2 million condo in Las Vegas, Nevada, that she purchased.

“Farina’s removal of community property from the family and marital residence has been intentional and deliberate, and constitutes contempt that has caused hardship and further harm to Baiul,” his attorney wrote in court documents.

The settlement stated that Farina would have primary custody of their daughter and would be allowed to move from Louisiana to Las Vegas. The agreement stated that Baiul would be allowed to visit his daughter if the daughter agreed.

The agreement said Baiul would enroll in anger management classes and submit to alcohol and drug tests. Baiul will receive $550,000 of the net proceeds from a home, and the exes will split any additional profits, according to the settlement. They agreed to split $108,000 in an investment account and Farina would forgive $194,000 she owed her ex.

Farina agreed to pay the Olympian $100,000 in a lump sum and another $150,000 to be paid over five years.

Neither party will pay child support or spousal support. Baiul was awarded her “extensive high-value collection of designer handbags, couture, ready-to-wear, eyewear and footwear” and any scraps from her books.

How we previously reported, Farina filed for divorce on June 26. In the filing, he listed the date of marriage as July 7, 2023 and the date of separation as November 2022. He asked for sole custody of his daughter.

He proposed that Baiul be granted supervised visitation because of her alleged “history of extreme physical, emotional, mental and verbal abuse” toward him. He claimed that the alleged abuse was captured by different cameras inside his home.

Farina alleged that her ex abused alcohol “to the point of intoxication” and called her a “compulsive liar” in court documents. She also accused the ice skater of making racist comments in front of her son and telling the boy to call his mistress racist names.

In August 2025, Baiul denied all allegations of wrongdoing when responding to Farina’s divorce. He listed the separation date as June 12, 2025, not 2022 as his ex listed.

In his filing, he asked the court to grant him joint physical and legal custody.

Baiul also accused Farina of being “psychologically abusive” towards her and her son. He said footage from cameras inside the home showed Farina “eating her and silencing her,” not abusing him.

Baiul became a household name later competing in the 1994 Olympics as a competitive figure skater, where she won a gold medal competing for Ukraine.
