Former Ukrainian Olympic figure skater Oksana Baiul he is talking later she lost custody of her daughter.

Us Weekly exclusively reported on Monday that Baiul’s ex-husband, Carlo Farinawas awarded sole custody of their 11-year-old daughter, Sophia, as part of their divorce settlement. Baiul and Farina, who had been married for 13 years, informed the court in October 2025 that they had reached an agreement covering the custody, maintenance and division of their shared property.
The settlement gave Farina primary custody and allowed her to move from Louisiana to Las Vegas with her daughter. Baiul is allowed to see his daughter if Sophia agrees to visits, according to the agreement.
The documents said Baiul agreed to enroll in anger management classes and take a breathalyzer and drug test to “make sure she stays sober.”
Baiul married Farina, his manager, in 2012. Three years later, the former couple welcomed daughter Sophia. flour filed for divorce of Baiul after 13 years of marriage in June 2025, claiming in court documents obtained by we that the couple split in 2022.
At the time of his June 2025 filing, Farina alleged that he and Baiul lived in separate homes in Louisiana. He also claimed that the alleged abuse was captured by cameras in his former home.
In an August 2025 response, Baiul denied all allegations of wrongdoing and claimed in his filing that the couple separated on June 12, 2025, not three years earlier. She opposed Farina’s request for sole custody of her daughter and asked the court to grant joint custody to the parents.

Baiul also accused Farina of being “psychologically abusive” towards her and her daughter. She claimed the videos she presented in court showed he was abusive, not her. The exes reached an agreement that settled the case weeks later.
Before her divorce from Farina, Baiul, who won gold in women’s ice skating at the 1994 Winter Olympics, was arrested for a DUI in 1977 and later checked into a rehab program. He later shared that his struggles with alcohol began when he began performing on ice skating tours.
“Except for me, almost all the figure skaters on the bus were older, and it was full of alcohol. Most of the skaters were Russian and American, and they were all drinking,” Baiul told the tribune in 2015. “That’s when I tried it. I was very young, with no one to teach me the law. I thought it was the norm, because as a teenager you don’t want to break with the majority.”
