Brazilian digital news metropolis reported that Pedro and his 10-year-old nephew were involved in a drowning accident Friday at a Praia Grande beach in São Paulo, Brazil.
The outlet reported that a rescue team pulled Pedro’s nephew from the water and administered life-saving measures after others on the beach noticed the two were missing.
The team could not locate Pedro for almost 90 minutes. he he was pronounced dead at the scene when it was discovered. The medium reported that his body was transferred to the morgue of the Emergency Care Unit of Samambaia for legal procedures.
In the days following Pedro’s death, Lopes has shared a series of posts to honor him. In a black-and-white snapshot, Pedro put his arm around Lopes as the pair smiled for the camera.
“If we met at 15, if we broke up at 17, we met again at 19, and I lost you at 20,” Lopes wrote via Instagram on Saturday January 3.
In the comments section of the post, several users shared their condolences.

In a separate post, Lopes shared that she was considering going to Pedro’s house for the first time after his death, but later said she “couldn’t” because of her grief.

In another charge, Lopes, who has accumulated more than 317,000 followers on Instagram, she shared that she briefly went to her mother-in-law’s house.

metropolis reported that Pedro’s family held a funeral Sunday, January 4, at Vila Formosa Cemetery in São Paulo. The funeral reportedly included motorcycle beats and tributes from loved ones.
