Emily in Paris It went through some cast departures and character changes, so who is expected to return, and not, in Season 6?
After spending most of Season 5 in a relationship, Emily (Lily Collins) ended up single with a hint of a meeting with Gabriel (Lucas Bravo). The fictional chef, however, was largely absent from the Netflix series after Bravo previously threw shade over how his character was portrayed.
“(Lucas) wasn’t really consulted (in Gabriel’s Season 5 arc) and just chose to come back to the show,” the creator said. Darren Starr he told Decider in December 2025. “The story worked.”
Star continued, “Because that’s not where Emily’s story was, or where we planned it to be in Season 5. The story wasn’t about Emily and Gabriel. At the same time, it was great to have him and keep him in the world of the show.”

The fifth season ended in a cliffhanger while Gabriel extended an invitation to Emily in Greece.

Season 5 started with Mindy secretly hooking up with Alfie (Laviscount) after breaking up with her ex. They called it quits once Emily found out and eventually Mindy got engaged, as did Alfie planning to fight for their relationship.
In the event that the series is renewed, Mindy’s love triangle would be at the center of the next season.
Lucas Bravo

Although Gabriel was largely absent from Season 5, Fleming said we the plan is to return Bravosaying, “Gabriel is important. He’s part of the DNA of the show. When he and Emily are in a scene together, something indefinable happens. They have this chemistry. They do. There’s something about the two of them that’s very visible.”
He continued, “Looking forward, they’re part of each other’s journey. Who’s to say who Emily will end up with, but Emily and Gabriel will interact with each other. Things will happen (but) I can’t really say anything about what’s going to happen next season.”
Camille Razat

Razat was introduced as Gabriel’s love interest when the show debuted in 2021, but ultimately left before Season 5.

Lucien Laviscount

Alfie can’t break Mindy’s engagement if he isn’t a big part of Season 6. (The actor previously had a minor role in season 4 when it went from series regular to recurring status due to scheduling issues. Laviscount has since made a deal to join as a series regular in the future.)
