Landman’s Norris Family Dinners – All Taylor Sheridan Show Topics


Taylor Sheridanthe success of the series Landman has given viewers a lot to be thankful for, starting with the iconic Norris family dinners.

Inspired by the “Boomtown” podcast series, Landman is centered in West Texas oil industry with a specific focus on crisis executive Tommy Norris and his family. The show Paramount+ was introduced, which premiered in 2024 Billy Bob Thornton as a corporate fixer working for an oil titan.

Tommy’s (Thornton) life outside of work, including wife Angela (Ali Larter), daughter Ainsley (Michelle Randolph), son Cooper (Jacob Lofland), parent TL (Sam Elliott) and coworkers-turned-roommates Dale (James Jordan) and Nathan (Colm Feore).

Like every family, the Norris found time to sit down to dinner together, which always rotates in an event.

“The editors really help us with that,” Lofland exclusively told Us Weekly in November 2025 about trying not to laugh while filming the scenes on the subject. “There are a lot of shots where you’ll see yourself smiling or almost laughing. You can’t help it, because you’re just watching it happen in front of you.”

The original Italian dinner

In season 1, Angela presented we at Norris’ family dinner with a three-meat bolognese, including wild boar. He paired the meal with French wine, but ultimately ruined it after an argument with Tommy.
