Lizzo is showing off her figure in her first post of 2026.
On Saturday, January 3, Instagram carousel Lizzo, 37, posed for the camera while sporting a white bikini, blue manicure and rings. The swimwear appeared to be the Swim Triangle Bikini Top and the Swim Luxe Side Tie Thong Bikini of his brand, Yitti.
In another snap, Lizzo (real name Melissa Jefferson) added a colorful Pucci boat neck dress and a pair of earrings with white sunglasses. She paired the photos of the dress with her song “DITTO”.
“YITTY & a Pucci fit… nastyyyyy 😜,” she captioned the post, which received messages from several celebrities. “😍,” Paris Hilton shared, while Sza wrote: “YES AAAA.”
Lizzo, what has been candid about her weight loss journeyshared in November that she was “deeply suicidal” before prioritizing her health.
“I started losing weight in the fall of 2023. I was very depressed. I had been the subject of a vicious scandal and I felt like the whole world had turned its back on me. I was deeply suicidal,” she wrote via Substack. “I cut off all my loved ones.”
After the “scandal,” referring to three of her former backup dancers filing a lawsuit against her in 2023, Lizzo stated that she “couldn’t trust anyone.” (In court documents obtained by Us Weekly at the time, the group sued Lizzo for sexual and religious harassment, disability discrimination, creating a hostile work environment and more. She has it they denied his allegations.)
“I found that I had lost some weight in the process, but it wasn’t as significant as it is now. Because it wasn’t intentional,” she noted, adding that she changed her mindset and saw her weight loss as a pound “released” rather than “lost.”
A month later, she took to Instagram to show off her bikini body and applaud body shamers, while rocking a bright yellow swimsuit with a black snakeskin print.
“Today I saw a fat joke about me in 2025 and it went viral. It was a dumb joke and they were just laughing at me because I’m fat,” she wrote. “Let me be a reminder to everyone to NEVER let anyone shame you for what you choose to do with your body. Because when you’re old they talk shit, when you’re young they talk shit. Your body will never be good enough for them because it’s not FOR them. It’s for you.”
Lizzo continued: “If I get a BBL we mind your business, if I lose 100 pounds, if I get every pound back and then some… it’s your business. Anyway… my fat ass is still living on a mortgage paid to all the motherfuckers. 🥱.”
Lizzo’s friends and fans shared messages of support in the comments section.
“You look amazingly amazing 😍 Users don’t want to see anyone doing good these days 🙌,” Trisha Paytas she wrote, while one of her followers added: “Word! Me too – Holy shit, she looks amazing! (All the time).” Another commented: “Tell them sis! You are beautiful in every way, inside and out. ❤️🔥👏🏾.”
