January 2026 will be a good month for anyone looking for new TV shows.
However, it will be a quiet period for movies apart from a couple of sci-fi films that hit theaters in 2025.

While Hulu is traditionally an action haven for fans of the genre, the streamer didn’t add many new movies in this category this month unless you really like the Planet of the Apes movies. 5. ‘Ash’ (2025)
Ash is a sci-fi/horror film that flew under the radar during its brief theatrical release last year. But for a low-budget film, it has real style, as well as the star power of its two leads, Eiza Gonzalez i Aaron Paul. Gonzalez stars as Riya Ortiz, an astronaut who wakes up on a deep space research station with her crew dead and little memory of what happened or how she got there.
Paul plays Brion Cargyle, a man who claims he was sent to rescue Riva from a distress signal she sent. But with her memory on the fritz, Riva is paranoid and suspicious of Brion and his intentions. He may have good reason to be suspicious as his memories begin to return. But if Riva can’t trust Brion, then this space station may prove to be her grave.

4. ‘Tron: Ares’ (2025)
If you ever wanted to see Jeff Bridges steal a movie from under everyone, the original throne The star returns as Kevin Flynn Throne: Ares. But for the most part, this movie belongs Jared Letowho plays the main character, Ares. Julian Dillinger (Evan Peters) created Ares and his colleague Athena (Jodie Turner-Smith) as their personal digital managers. 3. “The Night Manager” (2016, 2026)
A decade is a long time between seasons, though Tom HiddlestonHe has been busy making movies and two seasons of Loki. The first season of The night manager Hiddleston was in the lead as Jonathan Pine, a former military officer turned manager of the hotel’s night shift. British intelligence officer Angela Burr (Olivia Colman) coerced Jonathan into helping her take down arms dealer Richard Roper (Hugh Laurie).
Season 2 picks up 10 years later, as Jonathan believes that one of Roper’s former allies, Teddy Dos Santos (Bald Diego), is receiving help from the British government in its arms trafficking. To thwart these plans, Jonathan comes out of retirement and makes the trip to Colombia. Camila Morrone she also plays Roxana Bolaños, a woman who has her own reasons for distrusting Teddy. But she’s also not sure if she can trust Jonathan.
The night manager season 2 will air Prime Video on January 11.
2. ‘Wonder Man’ (2026)
If you’ve never heard of Marvel’s Wonder Man, it’s probably because he’s a C-list hero at best, known only for his stints in the Avengers. the new Wonder Man Disney+ series can go a long way to change that, and it’s taking a very meta approach to the concept. In this show, there was already one Wonder Man movie that looked a lot like its comic book counterpart. Now actor Simon Williams (Yama is my Malay II) desperately wants to star in the remake.
In the comics, Simon Williams is Wonder Man, who has superhuman powers as well as aspirations to be a great actor. This version of Simon has the latter, but will also gain powers at some point. Ben Kingsley is resuming his Iron Man 3 i Shang-Chi and the legend of the 10 rings role of Trevor Slattery. Trevor wants to be Simon’s new friend because he knows a rising star when he sees one. And Trevor is also looking for his comeback.
Wonder Man will continue to stream Disney+ on January 27.

Before Dunk can go on a journey with Egg, he must fight for his life in a trial of combat against some of the greatest warriors in the realm.
