Meghan McCain welcomes third baby with husband Ben Domenech


Meghan McCain and her husband, Ben Domènechthey are officially parents of three.

“Everybody is happy, healthy and exhausted,” McCain, 41, said people on Saturday, January 3, confirming that the couple welcomed their third baby. “We are absolutely thrilled that our boy is here.”

McCain gave birth to son Ransom by caesarean section on Friday, January 2.

“We are so grateful to the amazing doctors and medical staff who took such wonderful care of us,” the mother of three told the network. “Liberty and Clover are so excited to have a little brother. Our family is so blessed.”

McCain announced her third pregnancy on his “Citizen McCain” podcast in June 2025, sharing the news with the second lady Usha Vance.

“I hope you don’t mind. I wanted to let you talk about something that’s private that I haven’t talked about publicly yet,” McCain said at the time. “I have two girls. They’re almost 5 and almost 3. And I just entered my second trimester, I’m pregnant with my third.”

McCain joked that it was “a weird way to announce” the expansion of his family before revealing the gender of his third baby.

“It’s a boy,” she confirmed. “I’m really nervous about having a boy. And I’m really nervous about having three kids. A lot.”
